GSC Group was founded in Italy, within the tanning district of Arzignano, Vicenza, in 1976 by Donato Serafini and Giovanni Gianesini. Located in the world capital of the tanning industry, the company initially boasted the resale of leather dyes as its core business.
Over time, the company’s history became intertwined with the growth of the Italian tanning industry, establishing itself in other segments of the sector such as retanning, fatliquoring and finishing, and then becoming a specialised manufacturer of chemical solutions for tanneries. The quality of production made the GSC Group name internationally renowned.
